You do not rank for 'meal prep near me' by writing 'near me' fifty times on a page. Google has to understand what the business is, where it serves, whether customers trust it, and whether the website supports the same local story. The work is mostly about consistency and relevance, not a magic phrase.
Get the Google Business Profile basics right
Choose the most accurate category, keep the address or service-area information correct, add current photos, keep hours accurate, and use the business description to explain the service clearly. If the profile points one direction and the website points another, you are making Google's job harder.
Reviews are local content
Customer reviews naturally mention meals, delivery, neighborhoods, convenience, quality, and service. You should never script reviews or tell customers what to say, but a steady flow of genuine feedback gives both prospects and search engines useful context.
Make the website prove the service area
The homepage and relevant location pages should make it obvious where you deliver. A customer should not have to reach checkout before discovering that their ZIP code is outside the service area. Useful local information improves conversion and supports search relevance at the same time.
Build real local references
Partnerships with gyms, offices, local creators, events, and community organizations can create mentions and links that a generic national blog cannot. Local authority is not only an on-page SEO project.
Do not create dozens of doorway pages
A page for every suburb is not automatically better. Create location content when you genuinely serve the market and can make the page useful. Read our guide to local landing pages before you expand.
Track the right local signals
- Google Business Profile views and actions
- Non-branded local search impressions
- Calls and orders from organic search
- Location-page clicks
- Review volume and recency
- Branded search growth
Near-me SEO is earned over time
The strongest local presence usually comes from doing the basics consistently: accurate entity information, good reviews, useful service-area content, a technically healthy site, and real local reputation. See our Local SEO approach.
