The best customer content usually looks simple: a meal on a desk, an unboxing, a quick reaction, a fridge stocked for the week. That simplicity is the strength. It shows the product in a real routine, which can answer trust questions that polished brand photography cannot.
Ask for a specific moment
Do not send 'Can you make us a video?' Give the customer an easy prompt: show your delivery arriving, show the meal you keep ordering, or show what your work lunch looked like before and after using the service. Specific prompts create more usable content.
Get permission before repurposing
A customer posting your meal does not automatically mean you can use the content in paid ads. Ask clearly for permission and keep a record of what usage they agreed to.
Paid creators need a brief, not a script prison
Tell creators the customer problem, product facts, required disclosures, and what must not be claimed. Then let them speak naturally. Word-for-word scripts often make UGC look like the ad it is trying not to look like.
Useful UGC angles
- First delivery unboxing
- Work-lunch routine
- Favorite meal of the week
- How reordering fits into Sunday planning
- What surprised me after trying meal prep
- Fridge before and after delivery
Use UGC beyond social
Customer content can strengthen landing pages, email, product pages, and retargeting. A relevant clip near a first-order offer can sometimes answer more questions than another paragraph of brand copy.
Authenticity still needs accuracy
Do not encourage customers or creators to make health, weight-loss, or performance claims the business cannot support. Real customer experience is enough. Keep the content focused on convenience, taste, routine, service, and other truthful product experiences.
Build a library, not a one-off campaign
Collect useful customer content continuously. Over time, you can tag clips by angle, market, meal type, customer type, and performance so the creative team always has relevant proof to work with. See our social media service.
